Frequent Ask

1. What file formats do you accept?

The formats we accept are STL, X_T, STP, STEP, CAD, PRT, IGS, IGES. The file format required for RP production is STL, and the file format required for CNC production is X_T, STP, STEP, PRT, IGS, IGES. If you are unable to convert to STL, you can send us the X_T, STP, STEP, PRT, IGS, IGES files and our engineers will convert to STL. If the resolution is not enough when converting to STL, our engineers will increase it and inform you of your consent.

2. There are no 3D drawings, only 2D drawings (such as AI, JPG, AutoCAD) or even hand-drawn drawings. What file formats are accepted?

This is difficult, mainly because the 2D drawing itself has no thickness or angle, and the area data is unknown. We have to thicken the drawing and convert it into 3D in the early stages of the process. Although engineers can redraw the flat 2D drawing into a 3D drawing, it still depends on the pattern review and the additional information and photos of the object from all angles provided by the customer.

3. My stereogram file is too large to be sent via email, what should I do?

Complex product structures and software upgrades will result in larger files. Generally, the maximum attachment allowed for emails is 25MB. If attachments cannot be added immediately, the files need to be compressed into *.zip or *.rar and then sent by email. If you still don’t know how to zip, please call us and we will be happy to share.

4. Does the product need to be processed after printing?

It depends on your requirements. The minimum layer thickness of our 3D printer is 0.1mm, and the printed texture is almost invisible. In general, you only need to peel off the support structure without additional processing. However, in order to achieve the most perfect effect, the product can be subjected to various surface treatments such as grinding, sandblasting, painting, spraying, silk screen printing, pad printing, UV oiling, metal oxidation, brushing, electroplating, etc.

5. Can you provide post-processing services such as machining?

Yes, post-processing is our strength.

 6. I don’t know what kind of post-processing suitable for my prints?

Our engineers will make an assessment and discuss with you to achieve the most perfect product.

7. I have an aluminum product, can you process metal products?

We can process metals for you, and the materials can also include aluminum, iron, copper, zinc alloy and other metals.

8. I am not sure if my image is correct, what should I do?

We can print a small sample for you at a preferential price, the volume should not exceed 10cm3, and then we can produce it after confirming that there is no problem.

9. How is my personal design protected?

We have always attached great importance to design confidentiality, which is also our basic commitment to many of our current customers. We operate on the basis of integrity. If necessary, we can enter into a confidentiality agreement with our customers.
